Meske celebrates 150

Dave Meske, Webb School of Knoxville varsity head football coach, received a commemorative plaque celebrating his 150th victory at the school following a 44-0 win against St. Benedict’s, Friday, Oct. 14, in Nashville. Beginning as Spartan skipper in 1985, Meske’s career record currently stands at 151-87. That includes a Class AA state championship in 1996 (three classifications before public/private split). Kenan Smith‚ former Spartan runningback (Class of 1976) and father of senior Webb running back/linebacker Dean Smith, presented Meske with a commemorative plaque on behalf of the Spartan football team, their parents and cheerleaders.
