• Farragut High School alum Denise Koessler won the 50-freestyle (26.94) as a member of the The College of Wooster (Ohio) swimming and diving team in a dual meet versus Millikin University Sunday, Nov. 6, at Wooster. Koessler was second in the 100-freestyle.
• Farragut High School Dugout Club will host a Chili Supper in the FHS Commons from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9. The supper will coincide with the Farragut and Bearden varsity basketball games at FHS’s Lynn E. Sexton Gymnasium. Cost is $5 per person and tickets can be purchased at the door or from any FHS baseball player. All proceeds go to the FHS baseball program.
• Honorees at the 2005 Farragut High School volleyball banquet Nov. 15 at Rothchild’s were: Jenny Loveday, co-MVP, best setter; Kelsey Benorden, co-MVP; Eden Watts, “Karen Beam” Character Award; Kaylee Dueber, FHS Team Award; Amanda Mitchell, (District 4-AAA Rookie of the Year), Most Improved; Kimbra Hoehn, Streak Serve Award (222 straight); Cara Gregg, FHS Junior Varsity Team Award. Mike Carroll, Farragut athletic director, presented head coach David Moore with his District Coach of the Year plaque.
