Local group decorates Ronald’s ‘House’

The spirit of giving continued for the Knoxville Ronald McDonald House when it was decorated by Christmas Décor of Knoxville, Inc., as part of Christmas Décor’s “Lighting The House That Love Built” national decorating program.

To mark the occasion, similar franchisees across the country are providing free Christmas decorations and decorating services to Ronald McDonald Houses nationwide. These decorations will brighten the holidays for those visiting families staying at the Houses.

“We’re very proud of our donation to the Ronald McDonald House here in Knoxville, which gives us an opportunity to share our unique expertise. But most importantly, it provides the families that are staying at the House an opportunity to celebrate the holidays even in their “home away from home,” Wendell Redmond, owner of Christmas Décor of Knoxville, Inc., said.

Ronald McDonald House Charities provides comfort and care to children and families through its network of local charities serving in 48 countries. The Charity makes grants to not-for-profit organizations, and provides support to Ronald McDonald Houses worldwide. To date, RMHC’s national body and its global network of local chapters have awarded more than $410 million in grants to children’s organizations worldwide.

The Ronald McDonald House program has provided a “home-away-from-home” for nearly three million family members since its inception in 1974. There are 254 Ronald McDonald Houses in 24 countries.
