AquaDogs glide past CAK, Karns at UT

Bearden's AquaDogs rebounded from a recent dual meet loss to Farragut with convincing victories against CAK (219-132) and Karns (249-93) Sunday, Dec. 11, at the University of Tennessee Student Aquatic Center.

"Coming off the loss to Farragut, it was good to get back on the winning side of things,” BHS head coach Evan Nylander said.

Nylander said his defending state champions had two first-time winners Dec. 11. Shun Muyama was a double winner after capturing the 100-freestyle (:55.56) and 50-free (:23.81). Jonathan Rudis was champion in the 200-yard intermediate medley (2:19.44). “It’s big for them to get their first high school meet wins,” Nylander said. Now with 32 state qualifiers, the AquaDogs added Justin Miller in the 50- and 100-free and Daniel Maxwell in the 200-IM to that list.
