Demetrius Donald, former Bearden High School All-American soccer midfielder and Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer standout, has been named to the All-American team, one of three local Queens players earning post-season honors. The NSCAA/Adidas Division II All-American Committee has named Donald a third team selection for the 2005 season. A school press released said Donald has come off one of his best seasons ever as a Royal, scoring ten goals on the year and finishing with thirty points. The ten assists on the season ranks him in the Nations Top 20 for assists per game average. Donald, made his presence known in the CVAC Conference in 2005 finding himself as a category leader in goals, assists and total points. Donald finished his career as First Team All-Conference in 2004 and 2005, CVAC Player of the Year in 2005, Second Team All-Southeast Region in 2002 and 2004 and First Team All-Southeast Region in 2005. Meanwhile, teammates Michael Hensen & Bruce Mottern made the All Southeast Region Team.

The Farragut Middle School Lady Admirals ran its record to 6-0 with victories against South Doyle 51-27 and West Valley 45-29 recently. Against South-Doyle, Stephanie Harris was the leading scorer with 14 points and Kirsten Chapman came off the bench to score 10 points, many of them coming from long range. Katie Cargo, Mira Neely and Hayley Newby all chipped in six points apiece. Hayley Newby, Neely and Harris controlled the boards with a total of 25 rebounds. Against West Valley, Farragut was led in scoring by Harris with 18 points while Alex Newby and Hayley Newby had nine each.
