FHS freshman boys hoopsters beat Carter, hit the break at 5-1


Farragut High School’s freshmen boys basketball team enters the holiday break with a 5-1 record after defeating Carter 84-74 Monday, Dec. 12, at FHS’s Lynn E. Sexton Gymnasium.

Sam Watson’s season-high 33 points led the way for the Ads, closely followed by Nate Clark’s 21 points. Austin Clark added 12.


SEASON LEADERS

At the break, Dane Lovell leads Farragut in free throw accuracy at 80 percent; Jonathan Moore leads in assists, and Watson in scoring average [23.6] and rebounds.

Other contributors are Connor Stank, Zach Warnock, Justin Schoonmaker, Austin Bolen, Spencer Hipsher and Matt Oglesby.

Farragut’s next game is Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Knoxville Catholic.
