• Dec. 31: A Midhurst Drive man called police to report a domestic matter after he and the suspect had gotten into a verbal argument over some personal family business. The complainant told police he left the residence to prevent the incident from escalating.

• Jan. 1: Knox County deputies answered a domestic dispute call at a Fort West Drive address. Upon arrival, the victim told officers that she and her husband, the suspect, had been in an argument over the suspect possibly seeing another woman. The victim said that the telephone rang, she attempted to pick up the phone and the suspect grabbed her hand and slammed the victim’s hand and phone down on the kitchen counter. The suspect was gone when officers arrived at the residence. The victim and her two children vacated the residence while officers were present.

• Jan. 2: Police were dispatched to a Midhurst Drive address in response to an attempted suicide. The victim allegedly told the complainant that he wanted to do himself in with a shotgun. The victim was transported to Parkwest Medical Center for evaluation.
