District 4-AAA brackets set for Bearden, Farragut hoop teams
All-District 4-AAA regular season honorees told


Led by Bearden sharpshooting senior guard Tony White Jr., who earned boys’ most valuable player honors, District 4-AAA coaches announced the 2005-06 All-District basketball teams Monday, Feb. 13.

Also announced were the 4-AAA tournament brackets, as this year’s tourney begins Friday afternoon, Feb. 17, in Farragut High School’s Lynn E. Sexton Gymnasium.

Joining White on the All-district boys team were BHS teammates Rande Sibley and B.J. Ware.

From Farragut, first-team boys selections were seniors B.J. Browning and Marcus Huie, while Scott Carroll and Will Akers earned honorable mention status.

Three FHS Lady Admirals earned girls’ first-team honors: Beth Raby, Rachel Draper and Catelyn Dake.

Bearden Lady Bulldogs earning first-team honors were Allysia Bailey and Sarah Himmelreich.

Friday, Feb. 17: 4:30 p.m., Bearden girls (No. 7 seed) versus Maryville (6); 6 p.m., South-Doyle boys (6) versus Heritage (7); 7:30, Sevier County girls (5) versus Lenoir City (8); 9 p.m., Sevier County boys (5) versus Lenoir City (8).

Saturday, Feb. 18: 4:30, William Blount girls (3) versus 6-7 winner; 6 p.m., Farragut boys (3) versus 6-7 winner; 7:30 South-Doyle girls (4) versus 5-8 winner; 9 p.m., Maryville boys (4) versus 5-8 winner.

Monday, Feb. 20: 6:30, FHS girls (2) versus 3, 6-7 survivor; 8 p.m., Heritage girls (1) versus 4, 5-8 survivor.

Tuesday, Feb. 21: 6:30, William Blount boys (2) versus 3, 6-7 survivor; 8 p.m. BHS boys (1) versus 4, 5-8 survivor.

Thursday, Feb. 23: 6:30, girls consolation; 8 p.m., girls title game.

Friday, Feb. 24: 6:30, boys consolation; 8 p.m., boys title game.
