FMS girls hoops hot again

Alex Newby led the way with 12 points and five assists. Brown tossed in nine points and Neely added eight points and eight rebounds.

FMS 35 POWELL 26

Alex Newby and Brown led the way with eight points each and teamed with Cargo to play what FMS head coach Susan Davidson said was “tenacious defense” on the perimeter. Neely added six points, while Harris and Hayley Newby each had four points and six rebounds.

“Our post controlled the paint today and played very unselfishly to create a strong inside game” Davidson said. “The girls played an outstanding defensive game to push an upbeat tempo.”
