Maurer to Queens

Katy Maurer, an All-Region 2-AAA and All-District 4-AAA center-midfielder with the Farragut Lady Admirals soccer team, signed National Letter of Intent papers with Queens University, Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 10, at FHS. “Katy was an All-state caliber player, very skilled, had very good knowledge of the game ... had a good shot and was a good ball distributor,” FHS head coach Dennis Lindsay said. Maurer said, “I really enjoyed the [Queens] girls on the team, and the coaches.” Sitting alongside Maurer are her parents, Maggie and Bob Maurer.
