Sub-state for Ads, BHS?
District 4-AAA runner-up Farragut boys, Bearden hoping for sub-state tonight at region semis

Following up on its District 4-AAA Tournament runner-up finish, the Farragut Admirals looked to move into tonight’s Region 2-AAA semifinals and a sub-state berth after playing Oak Ridge in Tuesday’s opening round (after press time) needing a win.

A win Tuesday would leave FHS (20-11 record entering the week) to face the Powell-William Blount winner in Thursday’s region semifinals at 5:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, third-place Bearden (30-4) looked to survive against Halls Tuesday. If the ’Dawgs won they willl face the Maryville-Clinton winner in Thurday’s semis at 8:30 p.m.

If Farragut and/or Bearden reaches the region finals Friday, tip-off for the championship game is 7 p.m. All region games are being played at Sevier County High School in Sevierville.
