At a banquet held Friday evening, March 3, 2006, at Fox Den Country Club, the town of Farragut presented ranks to members of Farragut's Unsung Navy or F.U.N. Volunteer Program. In 2005, 137 F.U.N. Volunteers donated 6,491 hours of service to the town. The value to the Town is worth approximately $64,910. During the program Roberta Jones was elevated to the rank of Admiral joining fellow Admirals Frances Abel, Bill Dunlap, Charlie and Doris Owens. A minimum of 3,000 volunteer hours on the year is required for the rank. Pictured is Jones, left, receiving her rank from Anne LaGrow, town Leisure Services coordinator.
