TDS Telecom hosts event

2006 is set to be a high-speed and high-powered year for TDS Telecom and its customers. Not only has TDS Telecom’s DSL speed been turned up faster than cable Internet service, but TDS is also sponsoring one of the fastest professional racecar teams on the ASA circuit.

To celebrate, TDS Telecom is inviting all of its Farragut customers to make a pit stop at the Village Green Shopping Center parking lot for a party unlike any other in town. On Thursday, March 16, from 4 to 7 p.m., customers and their families can spend the evening enjoying a free concert, racecar event and fund-raiser all in one.

“TDS Telecom couldn’t be the strong company it is today without our customers,” said Jerry Parkerson, General Manager, Sales and Service for T-D-S Telecom’s Farragut office

The event features a free concert by Nashville recording artist Gwen Sebastian and her band Breakaway. Starting at 5 p.m., they’ll feature songs from her new album, which comes out this month.

Customers can also meet ASA’s “Sportsman of the Year,” racecar driver Chad Wood, and the TDS Telecom-sponsored racing team.

TDS Telecom also is raising money for the Baptist Health System Foundation and Community Benefit.

“Just bring the invitation from your TDS bill to this event and we’ll make a one dollar donation on your behalf,” said Parkerson. The foundation is responsible for funding the purchase of needed medical equipment; providing important healthcare education, medical programs and services; and researching studies for a healthier community.
