• The Eighth Annual East Tennessee Technology Access Center/Mark French Memorial Golf Tournament is set for Monday, April 10, at Fox Den Country Club. Entry fee is $500 per team or $125 per player. Team play will consist of a four-person scramble. Prizes will include cars donated for a hole-in-one from dealerships including Toyota of Knoxville, and first-, second- and third-place team prizes and technology door prizes (tentative). Cart Sponsorships, which includes a sign on golf cart with naming sponsor, is $75. The tentative schedule begins with lunch from noon until 1 p.m., which includes golfing tips and putting contest with Des Mahoney. Payment must be received by April 5 for spots to be reserved. According to tourney chair Brett LeSueur, participating sponsors include Fairways & Greens, Tee to Green, Play it Again Sports, Rolf Lanz Ski & Outdoors, Sam’s Club/West Knoxville, Wal-Mart/Turkey Creek, U.S. Golf and former UT basketball player at Vol Network color analyst Bert Bertlekamp, who donated $500. LeSueur said various University of Tennessee coaches are tentatively scheduled to participate, including Bruce Pearl, Pat Summitt, Phillip Fulmer, Rod Delmonico and Bill Webb.

• The Fourth Annual Episcopal School Golf Tournament will be held Tuesday, April 18, at Landmark at Avalon Golf Club. The tournament is set to begin with registration at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Play will be a 30-team, four-player scramble. An awards ceremony with prizes will be held immediately after the tournament. Cost is $150 per player or $500 per four-player team. Proceeds from the event will got to buy computers and technological equipment for children of the Episcopal School. Sponsors are encouraged to sign up, with sponsorship levels running from presenting ($4,000) to hole sponsor ($1,000). • The Fourth Annual Bearden High School Foundation Bulldog Classic Golf Tournament begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, at Willow Creek Golf Club in Farragut. Format is a four-person scramble. A reception will be held immediately following the tournament, with door prizes and an awards ceremony. Corporate sponsorships (with team and advertisement, $1,000) and Tee sponsorships (name on tee, $500) available. Team fee is $500. For more information, call 865-539-7800.

• The Farragut Barnbats baseball team is having a barbecue fund-raiser Saturday and Sunday, April 1-2, in the EdFinancial parking lot (formally Jumbo Sports) in Windsor Square. Smoked barbecue dinners ($6) and barbecue sandwiches ($3), beverages, home-made baked goods will be sold. Sandwiches and dinners may be purchased in advance from baseball team members. • The annual Farragut High School Football Booster Club Golf Tournament begins at 11 a.m., Friday, April 21, at Landmark at Avalon Golf Club. Dinner and the awards ceremony begins at 5 p.m. Cost to each golfer is $100.
