Raby keen on King

Beth Raby, an All-District 4-AAA and All-Region-2-AAA point guard honoree with the Farragut Lady Admirals basketball team, recently signed scholarship papers with King College of Bristol during a brief signing ceremony in the FHS Commons. “A lot of interest in me, they just showed more than anyone else,” Raby said of King. Shawn Stimmel, King head coach, labeled Raby “a leader,” adding, “she’s a tough kid, she’s going to get the job done.” FHS head coach Mike Driver said Raby “picks up things real quickly” and “she’s a competitor who’s not afraid to take it to the basket.” Raby, 18, is pictured alongside parents Darlene and Phil Raby. Standing, left to right, are Stimmel, FHS assistant coach Wes Edmonds, Driver, and Raby’s brothers Justin and Jared Raby.
