FHS benefit

Country singer Jo Dee Messina will play an acoustic benefit set for the seniors and other students at Farragut High School Wednesday, April 26. The show, which is closed to the public, will feature the energetic entertainer in the Vicki Wells Theatre at a cost of $10 per student attending. FHS principal Michael Reynolds said he, as well as the entire school, is excited about the show and that the funds generated will go to much-needed repairs and upgrades to the shcool science labs. “This will help out tremendously,” Reynolds said, adding that the cost of the improvements will total several thousand dollars. “We have to have the propane lines removed and natural gas lines run and that will cost a lot of money,” Reynolds said.
