Diamond Dawgs win pair of district games last week

Prior to Bearden’s dramatic, come-from-behind 5-4 win against archrival Farragut Monday, April 24, at BHS’s Phil Garner Field, the Bulldogs picked up a pair of District 4-AAA wins last week.
Kendal Wells had for RBIs to lead Bearden over South-Doyle 6-5 Wednesday, April 19, at SDHS. Wells hit a two-run homer and a two-run single while Garrett Copeland added a homer. Hunter Daniel was the winning pitcher.
Bearden, 22-7 overall and 8-3 in the district after beating FHS, began last week with a 7-2 home win against Lenoir City Monday, April 17. Tony Morgan was the winning pitcher, while Kendale Roach doubled and homered to lead the Bulldogs offense.
