Findley, Blackburn to wed on May 20
Michael and Melissa Findley of Farragut announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Cecile Findley, to Brandon Christopher Blackburn, son of Edward and Susie Blackburn, also of Farragut.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jeff and Katherine Little of Castleberry, Ala., Albert Findley Sr. of Foley, Ala., and Mary Jane Arrington and the late William Arrington of Corpus Christi, Texas.

She is a 2002 graduate of Farragut High School and a 2006 graduate of The University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology. She will attend graduate school in the fall.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Glenn and Betty Blackburn of Newport News, Va., and Lucille Barbour and the late Graham Barbour of Newport News.

He is a 2001 graduate of Farragut High School and graduated from Maryville College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He will attend graduate school in the fall.

The wedding will be held May 20 at All Saints Catholic Church. The couple will honeymoon in the McDowell Mountains in Arizona.


Koch, Odom to wed June 17
Tom and Sharon Koch of Farragut announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Michelle Koch, to Vernon Mitchell Odom, son of Ricky and Linda Odom of Summerville, S.C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Ralph and Lorraine Rockwood of Chattanooga and Rosanne Koch and the late Robert Koch of Memphis.

She is a 2001 graduate of Farragut High School and will graduate from the University of South Carolina in 2007 with a doctorate in pharmacy.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Velma Joyner and the late Robert Joyner of North Charleston, S.C.

He is a 2001 graduate of Summerville High School and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. He is with the state of South Carolina as a law enforcement agent.

The couple will be married on June 17 at Farragut Presbyterian Church.

Following a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, they will reside in Anderson, S.C.


Rome, Snow wed in April rite
Rachel Claudet Rome and Dr. Rodney English Snow IV of Knoxville were married Saturday, April 15, in a dusk ceremony at Oak Alley in Vacherie, La.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rome of Lockport, La.

She is the granddaughter of the late Richard West Rome, the late Velma Knight Rome Fricks, the late Aman Joseph Claudet and Bessie Claudet, all of Lockport.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney English Snow III of Knoxville.

He is the grandson of the late Rodney English Snow II and the late Mary Goodson Snow of Knoxville, and the late Dewey McCamey Vincent and JeNean Vincent of Estill Springs.

Jolene DePete of Memphis was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brooke Baddour and April Rome, both of Cordova, Marieka Helou and Jackie Mitchell, both of Memphis, Katie Melancon of New Orleans, La., and Jennette Moose of Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

Best man was the groom’s father, Rodney English Snow III.

Groomsmen were Dr. Jay Ethridge of Norfolk, Va., Ryan Griffith and Brent Hill, both of Charlotte, N.C., Dr. Charles Kim of Durham, N.C., Garrett Rome of Cordova, and Billy Sickles of Church Hill.

Colleen Chiasson of Lockport, La., was flower girl. Clayton Cook of Shreveport, La., was ringbearer.

Readers for the ceremony were Brett Chiles of Memphis, Cynthia Mitchell of Dyersburg and Dr. Benjamin Stroud of Knoxville.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of St. Agnes Academy in Memphis and is a 2001 graduate of Christian Brothers University in Memphis. She will graduate in May from the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis and will pursue a career in anesthesiology at the University of Virginia.

The groom, a 1993 graduate of Farragut High School and a 1997 graduate of The University of Tennessee, graduated from The University of Tennessee Medical School in 2005.

He is now an internal medicine resident at the University of Virginia.

The couple honeymooned in Barbados and will make their home in Charlottesville, Va.


Turner, King to wed
Charles and Glenda Turner of Knoxville announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Michelle Turner, to Thomas Blake King, son of Paul and Debbi King of Knoxville.

The bride-elect is granddaughter of Sara Kelly and the late Hobert Kelly, and Josie Turner and the late Roy Turner, all of Maryville.

A FHS graduate, she graduated in May from UT with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

The prospective groom is grandson of Bob and Eileen Higginbotham of Knoxville and Earl King and the late Margaret King of Port Charlotte, Fla.

A FHS graduate, he graduated from UT in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. In 2005, he received a master’s in accountancy.

The wedding will be Saturday, May 20, at Farragut Presbyterian Church. After a Las Vegas honeymoon, the couple will live in Knoxville.



She is a distribution analyst with Comag Marketing Group.

He is a staff accountant with Doctors Management.


Moss, Washburn set June date
Brant and Brenda Moss of Odessa, Texas, announce he engagement of their daughter, Rachel Kimberly Moss, to Kyle Franklin Washburn, son of Marty and Denise Washburn of Knoxville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Wilfred and Jerry McLeod and Cecil Moss and the late Lois Moss, all of Odessa.

A 2004 graduate of Permian High School, she graduated from Odessa College and is attending Texas Women’s University.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Allan and Cona Washburn of Knoxville and Bruce and the late Alma Traylor of Rockingham, N.C.

A 1996 graduate of Forth Smith Southside High School in Arkansas, he attended Westark College and graduated in 2002 from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in marketing management. He is employed by the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in Justin, Texas.

The wedding will be Saturday, June 10, in Midland, Texas. After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Justin.
