300 Wins

George Curtis, left, president of the FHS Dugout Club when head coach Tommy Pharr was hired for the 1997-98 baseball season, presents Pharr a plaque honoring his 300th win at Farragut, earned earlier this season, prior to FHS’s “Turn Back the Clock” game versus Oak Ridge at John Heatherly Field April 27. The coach’s record includes two Class AAA state titles and three runner-up finishes in his first eight seasons. “We thank you, Tommy, for making us proud of this stadium and this program, and your determination and intensity in building it,” Curtis said to Pharr while announcing it to the fans through the PA system.
