FHS 4 X 800 teams among five Farragut state qualifiers

Once again led by its 4 X 800 team, the Farragut High School boys track and field team qualified in two events for the Class AAA State meet May 22-26 in Murfreesboro during the 1-AAA Sectional meet at Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett Friday, May 12.
The FHS girls, meanwhile, had three event qualifiers.
The 4 X 800 foursome of Bryan Mann, Frank Streiff, Thomas Fraser and Jacob Gibson won the 1-AAA Sectional relay (8:12.71). Marcus Huie qualified in the long jump, fourth at 20-02.75.
Meanwhile, Lady Ad qualifiers were the 4 X 400 relay of Brittany Simmons, Nicole Besola, Tiffany Whitney and Catelyn Dake, second at 4:07.41; Simmons in the 400, third at 1:00.87, and the 4 X 800 relay of Margo Sneed, Caroline Sneed, Whitney and Alyssa Dresen, third at 10:10.09.
