KCHS’s Parton chooses Transylvania


Matthew Parton, Knoxville Catholic High School All-state point guard, signed National Letter of Intent papers with Transylvania University, an NCAA Division IIl school located in Lexington, Ky., that played in the “Elite 8” of the NCAA Division III tournament in the 2005-06 season. The signing was part of a recent ceremony at the school. Pictured alongside Parton are his mother, Julie Parton, right, and younger sister, Leighanna.
