Ballard, Taylor to wed
William and Dorothy Ballard of Springfield, Ky., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jessica Ann Ballard, to Ryan Jay Taylor, son of Jay and Charlotte Taylor of Knoxville.

The bride-elect graduated from Springfield High School in 1996. She graduated from Morehead College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. She is a special education teacher.

The prospective groom is a 1997 graduate of Farragut High School. He graduated from Morehead College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He is a salesman at Ultimate Toys.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, June 24, at St. Rose Catholic Church.

Following a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, Nev., the newlyweds will reside in Knoxville.


England, Brooks to wed July 8
Paula England of Hendersonville, the mother of Beth England, announces her daughter’s engagement to Brad Brooks, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Eddie Brooks of Knoxville.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Hendersonville High School.

She is also a 2006 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and has her bachelor’s degree in mass communications.

An employee of the Sumner County YMCA’s membership services, she is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Reynolds of Hendersonville and of James A. England and Sarah C. England, both of Gallatin.

The prospective groom is a 1999 Farragut High School graduate and a 2004 graduate of Carson-Newman College with a bachelors’ degree in sociology. He is now a seminary student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Myers of Decatur, Ga., and Ms. Betty Brooks of Knoxville.

The couple plans an 11:30 a.m. wedding Saturday, July 8, at First Baptist Church in Hendersonville.

After a honeymoon on Grand Cayman Island, the couple will reside in Wake Forest.
