Basham ends with .250 average as Ole Miss almost makes Series

Former Bearden Bulldog standout catcher and Ole Miss freshman Brett Basham almost earned a trip to this week’s College World Series in Omaha, Neb., as the Rebels missed out by one game, losing to Miami.
As a back-up catcher for UM, Basham hit .250, playing in 19 total games with eight starts.
Basham’s Rebels were 2006 Southeastern Conference tourney champs (44-22 final record).
