Zain, Morris exchange vows during June 17 ceremony
Courtnie Ann Zain of Knoxville and Brian Alan Morris were married in an evening service, Saturday, June 17, at All Saints Catholic Church on Cedar Bluff Road. Father Regan Schriver and the Rev. Charles Maynard officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Edward Zain of Knoxville. She is the granddaughter of Semeia Joseph of Houston, Texas, and the late Hassen Joseph, formerly of Charleston, W.Va., and the late Maurad and Emily D. Zain, both formerly of Charleston.

A 1998 Bearden High School graduate, she received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee in 2002 and is now a licensed account representative for the Mansour Hasan Agency of State Farm Insurance.

The groom is the son of Judy Smith of Lynn Haven, Fla., and David Morris of Seymour. He is the grandson of Dorothy Morris of Bremen, Ky., and the late Aubrey Morris, and of the late Carl and Clarine Haley, both formerly of Glasgow, Ky.

A 1996 Seymour High School graduate, he graduated from ITT in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering technology and is now a produce support engineer for Siemens Molecular Imaging.

The Matron of Honor was Stephanie Zain Haywood of Brentwood. The best man was David Morris of Seymour, father of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Dara Arnold of New York City, maid of honor; Becca Barnes of Lawrenceville, Ga., Melissa Johnson of Alpharetta, Ga., Katie Waters of Marietta, Ga., and Alicia Combs and Brittney Hamby, both of Chattanooga, and Heather Houk of Knoxville.

Groomsmen were Chris Morris of Kingston, Ben Morris of Murfreesboro, John Morris of Pigeon Forge, Chris Freego of Fairhope, Ala., and Daniel Sutphin, Mark Magnusson and Paul Yankee, all of Knoxville.

After a honeymoon trip to Sandals Resort in Dunn’s River, Jamaica, the couple will make their home in Knoxville.


Thomas, Koch set Aug. 19 date
Mary Walters-Thomas of Bloomingdale, Ga., and Patrick Thomas of Guyton, Ga.. announce the engagement and impending marriage of their daughter, Melissa Marie-Claire Thomas, to Nathaniel Richard Koch, son of John and Cheryl Koch of Farragut.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Tom and Patty Thomas of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and the late Dean and Mary Walters of Vero Beach, Fla.

A 2001 graduate of South Effingham High School, she graduated in 2006 from Pellissippi State Technical Community College with an associate’s degree in video production and photography.

The intended groom is the grandson of the late Frank and Betty Koch of Monroe, Wis., and the late Calvin and Gladys Kraemer of Pewaukee, Wis.

A 2003 Farragut High School graduate, he recently received associate’s degrees in arts and video production. Now a University of Tennessee student, he is employed by Image in Motion.

The couple plan a Saturday, Aug. 19, wedding in an outdoor setting at Gatlinburg. After a honeymoon in the Great Smoky Mountains, the couple will live in Knoxville.


Sadler, Twetan to say ‘I do’
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marcell of Knoxville announce the engagement and pending marriage of their daughter, Tracey Marie Sadler, to Clifford Andrew Twetan, son of Clifford and Patty Twetan of Yalaha, Fla.

The bride-elect, a 2002 Bearden High School graduate has studied fashion in Florence, Italy, and graduated in 2006 from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss., with a Bachelor of Science degree in fashion merchandising. She is employed at Mari9ssa Collections in Naples, Fla.

The intended groom, a 2000 graduate of Leesburg High School in Florida, graduated in 2004 from the University of Florida in Gainesville with a bachelor of science degree in construction management. He is a contractor with the BCBE firm in Naples.

The couple plans a mid-August wedding at Maple Grove in Knoxville.

After a honeymoon in Curacao, the couple will reside in Naples, Fla.


Schaefer, Dugger plan Aug. 12 rites
Timothy and Jane Schaefer of Waterloo, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Rae Schaefer, to Michael Sexter Dugger of Franklin.

The bride-elect, a 1998 graduate of Waterloo High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Illinois, attends Belmont University where she seeks her master’s degree in business administration.

She is employed as finance manager for Asurion in Smyrna.

The intended groom, a Farragut High School graduate, has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from The University of Tennessee.

He is a sales analyst for Aspect in Brentwood.

The couple plans to wed Saturday, Aug. 12, at Brentwood United Methodist Church in Brentwood.

After a honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple will live in Franklin..
