• On April 30 at around 5 p.m., Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Mayor Bob Leonard Park, 301 N. Watt Road, for a burglary of a vehicle call. The victim, a Blackthorn Road resident, stated that while her vehicle, a 2015 Infiniti, was parked in the upper lot at Mayor Bob Leonard Park, the driver side back window was broken out and a Louis Vuitton briefcase and a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses were stolen. The victim had no suspect. Estimated loss is $2,650.
• On April 30 at around 5 p.m., KCSO officers responded to Mayor Bob Leonard Park, 301 N. Watt Road, for a burglary to a vehicle. The victim, Hulberton Drive resident, stated that while her vehicle, a 2007 Volvo, was parked in the upper parking lot at Mayor Bob Leonard Park, the passenger side back window was broken out and two briefcases were stolen. The victim has no other suspect information. Estimated loss is $650.
• On April 30 at 5 p.m., KCSO officers responded to Mayor Bob Leonard Park, 301 N. Watt Road, for a burglary to a vehicle. The victim stated that while her vehicle, a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, was parked in the upper parking lot at Mayor Bob Leonard Park, the driver side back window was broken out and a handbag and it contents were stolen. The victim has no other suspect information. Estimated loss is $800.
• On April 30 at 5 p.m., KCSO officers responded to Mayor Bob Leonard Park, 301 N. Watt Road, for a burglary to a vehicle. The victim stated that while her vehicle, a 2014 Mazda SUV, was parked in the upper parking lot at Mayor Bob Leonard Park, the passenger side back window was broken out and a handbag, a purse and its contents were stolen. The victim has no other suspect information. Estimated loss is $850.
• On May 2 at around 3:19 p.m., a West Broad Street complainant advised KCSO that between
April 5 and May 2 his rental
car was taken by the
suspect, a 24-to-26-year-old male of unknown race. Complainant advised he had let the suspect borrow the vehicle, a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500, after he rented it and the suspect is refusing to give the vehicle back. Complainant advised he knows the suspect through a friend of a friend and stated Enterprise is aware that the vehicle was taken. Estimated loss is $31,000.
• On May 3 at around 7:23 a.m., a Grigsby Loop Circle complainant advised KCSO that on May 3 she found an unknown suspect had entered her vehicle, a 2013 Mazda 3, and stolen a portable Bose telephone speaker, a trifold wallet and its contents from inside. She stated the doors to the vehicle had been locked and is unsure as how the suspect entered the car. She advised she would call back if additional items were found to be missing. Estimated loss is $602.
• On April 29, 2016, at around 5:21 p.m., KCSO responded to Belk department store, 11397 Parkside Drive, Farragut in regards to a shoplifter. The witness observed the arrestee, a 33-year-old white male, conceal multiple products and leave the store. The witness approached the suspect and the suspect admitted to taking products from the store totaling $464.99. During inventory of the product a T-shirt and two sets of boxers were
located among the other items
to which the suspect admitted
to stealing from Marshalls. Marshalls loss prevention manager was contacted and she verified that the items were their store’s. The items totaled $46.94. Additionally there was a pair of Under Armor shoes that the suspect admitted to stealing from Gander Mountain, whom were contacted and stated they were their item, but did not want to prosecute. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility. This occurred in Farragut.
• On Tuesday, May 03, 2016, at around 1:38 p.m., KCSO responded to Pinnacle Bank, 241 Brooklawn St., Farragut in regards to attempted forgery. Upon arrival, the complainant stated that the suspect/arrestee, a 21-year-old white female, attempted to cash a check that was made out to her in the amount of $3,894.25. Due to the large amount, the complainant had to verify that the funds were in the account of the business. Complainant contacted the business listed on the check, Glenn Homes LLC, and spoke with the victim whose name was signed on the bottom of the check. Complainant stated that he did not write the check for that amount. The victim further stated that the suspect did not work for him or the business. Suspect stated that an unknown male that she works with gave her the check and dropped her off at the bank. Suspect further stated that she did not know the name of the unknown male. Suspect was taken into custody. The check was placed in the property locker at the Knox County Detention Facility.
• On May 5 at around 9:09 p.m., a West Kingsgate Road complainant advised KCSO that on May 5 at around 9:08 pm. his vehicle, a black Dodge 1500, was stolen from a gas station off North Campbell Station Road by an unknown suspect. He stated his vehicle was unlocked while he went inside to pay for gas. Estimated loss is $9,000.
• On May 6 at around 2:21 p.m., an Edith Lane complainant advised KCSO that on May 6 at around 2 p.m. an unknown suspect took her cell phone. The complainant advised the phone is in her boyfriend’s, the victim’s, name. The complainant advised she believed a worker at Subway off West End Avenue actually took the phone but was not sure at the time. The complainant was advised to contact Teleserve if more information arises. Estimated loss is $600.
• On May 6 at around 5:38 p.m., a Dixon Road complainant advised KCSO that between 4:38 and 5:38 p.m., May 6, his Stihl chainsaw was stolen by an unknown suspect. Complainant advised the item was missing from its case from his barn. It is unknown how the suspect made entry since there is no damage to the barn. Copy sent to LEIDs for NCIC entry. Estimated loss is about $450.
• On May 8, 2016, at around 11:14 a.m., KCSO responded to a burglary call at a Fordham Way residence. Upon arrival officer spoke with the victim who advised that she left her residence at 9:30 a.m. and returned at 11 a.m., at which time she found a rear window to be open and most of her jewelry missing. The window appeared to be forced open, object unknown, and still open. Victim stated that she would be compiling a complete list and approximate value of the jewelry, including the necklace and pendant she advised KCSO at the time of the report. This offense occurred in Farragut. Estimated loss is $600.
• On May 6 at around 2:54 p.m., KCSO officers responded to Kohl’s department store at 11530 Kingston Pike in Farragut to a reported theft. Upon arrival KCSO made contact with who observed suspect, a 29-year-old Hispanic female, select and conceal a Mudd necklace valued at $20 into her left pocket. Suspect bypassed all points of sale failing to pay for the necklace and she exited the store. Suspect was detained and brought back into store where items were recovered from suspect. Incident was captured on CCTV surveillance. Suspect could not produce identification and she was transported to Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility. This occurred in Farragut. Estimated loss $20.
• On May 10 at around 7:14 a.m., a Grigsby Chapel Road complainant advised KCSO between 4 and 7:14 a.m., May 10, an unknown suspect threw a Tennessee Waste trash can at her mailbox. Estimated loss is $175.
• On May 9 at around 1:10 p.m., a Sherwin Williams Paints complainant stated that on May 4 at around 4:08 p.m. and again on May 5 at around 1:08 p.m., a suspect, a 25-year-old white male, entered the store and purchased an impact paint sprayer, paint, brushes and other painting supplies. The suspect portrayed he worked for Karm Thrift Stores and made purchases on KARM account. The suspect stated his name was Red and was an authorized user on the account. Complainant contacted KARM and suspect was not an authorized user on the account. Total value of merchandise taken was $1,146.43. Complainant took picture of suspects vehicle, a black Volvo, listed in report.
• On May 11 at around 5:12 p.m., a DD’s Affordable Auto Sales complainant advised KCSO the listed car, a blue 2004 Acura LT, was taken by the suspect, a white male of unknown age. Complainant advised the vehicle was listed on Craigslist and met the suspect at Walgreens so he could look at the vehicle before purchasing it. Complainant advised he gave the keys to the suspect so he could check the VIN, along with test driving the vehicle, and after the suspect had not returned after a while he contacted the suspect. Complainant advised the suspect had stated he was at the red light down the street but when an extended period of time had passed he tried contacting the suspect again. Complainant advised the suspect will not answer his phone calls and has not returned with the vehicle. Forensics sent out to collect video surveillance. Owner of the business called in at 7:30 p.m. to add his information to the report and stated the complainant had taken the vehicle to meet the suspect on behalf of the business. Business owner advised that the suspect stated to the complainant that he was a police officer and currently on duty and had to get back to work soon. Owner of the business advised the suspect was a white male with brown eyes and light brown hair styled in a military cut. Owner advised the suspect is around 5-foot-9-inches tall and around 185 pounds wearing black combat boots, black pants, black belt, black polo shirt with Sheriff printed on it, a gray zip-up jacket and also was wearing a firearm on his hip. Estimated loss is about $5,000.
• On May 12 at around 6:35 p.m., a Woodrose Court complainant advised KCSO that between 2 and 7:30 p.m., May 11, an unknown suspect vandalized the back door to her residence. The complainant stated the glass on the door was shattered. Estimated loss is about $550.
• On May 13 at around 8:39 a.m., a Grigsby Loop Circle complainant stated to KCSO that between 8:30 p.m., May
12, and 8:05 a.m., May 13, an unknown suspect gained entry into her vehicle, a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan, by unknown means and rummaged through it. All of the property was moved from the back of the vehicle to the front and the front to the back. She advised no damage was done and no property was taken. She advised she is sure she locked her door and on her vehicle it will automatically lock after about five minutes, if no key is in the ignition and no weight is in the seat. No loss was reported.
• On May 13, KCSO responded to 11491 Parkside Drive in regards to a theft. Upon arrival KCSO met with Best Buy Loss Prevention who stated he had a female in custody for the theft of a NUUD cell phone case valued $99.99. KCSO then identified the suspect, a 44-year-old white female, and took her into custody for the theft. Best Buy banned the suspect from the store for a period of one (1) year and had her vehicle towed. This crime did occur in Farragut.
• On May 14 at around 2:43 p.m., a Mapletree Drive complainant advised KCSO she was being followed around Costco, 10745 Kingston Pike, Farragut, by an unknown male. The complainant advised she had turned her back to the suspect, an Hispanic male of unknown age, and he took a Saks wallet, cash, and the wallet’s contents from her open purse. The complainant advised she was looking at an item on the shelf and the suspect walked passed her. Once he walked past she realized her wallet was missing. The complainant advised she contacted security but the suspect was already outside before he could be stopped. The complainant was advised to contact Teleserve if more information arises. Estimated loss is about $335. Costco does have video surveillance of the suspect.
• On Sunday, May 15, at around 8:07 p.m., KCSO officers responded to Kohl’s department store, 11530 Kingston Pike, Farragut, for a shoplifting complaint. The complainant, Kohl’s Asset Protection Associate, stated that the defendant, an 18-year-old white female, concealed several cosmetics in her purse. The defendant then passed all points of sale with the concealed merchandise without making an attempt to pay for the concealed items. The defendant was taken into custody for shoplifting. This did occur in Farragut. Estimated loss is about $117.50.
• On May 17 at around 3:03 p.m., KCSO responded to the initial report of a burglary of a residence at a Green Mountain Drive residence in Farragut. Upon arrival, a KCSO detective discovered that the building was under new construction and uninhabited. Complainant, a Development and Design Concepts representative, advised KCSO that he is the project manager. There are no signs of a forced entry. It is unknown at this time where the point of entry is, but the two back sliding doors were the only doors or windows accessible as they were not lockable during the time of the incidents. The complainant noticed that the plumbing fixtures had been stolen from within the building and that it had occurred on Saturday, May 7, 2016. He also noticed that the electrical fixtures had been stolen from within the building and that it had occurred on Saturday, May 14, 2016. At both times, the fixtures had been set up the day before in the rooms to which they were going to be permanently affixed. Estimated loss is $755.
• On May 17 at around 3:36 p.m., a Southern Contractors LLC complainant advised KCSO he was told by some of his employees to check if any of the company’s tools were missing from a Shirecliffe Lane site and found a Stihl Model 800 saw was gone. He stated he contacted both suspects, both white males, about the theft but they both stated the other is the one who stole it. Copy sent to LEIDs for NCIC entry. Estimated loss is $1,500.
• On May 16 at around 1:03 p.m., a Pierce Dental Lab complainant advised between May 12 and May 13, the suspect, a 36-to-37-year-old white female, tried to write a check for $2,400. The complainant advised the suspect wrote the check at JCPenney signing the check as Candice Pierce. She stated JCPenney and Citizens Bank contacted her to advise her of the attempted transaction. The complainant advised she did not know a Candice Pierce and JCPenney did not let the suspect continue with the transaction. She advised the check was a business check.
• On May 19 at around 3:15 p.m., a Hampton Roads Drive complainant stated an unknown suspect used her personal information to apply for a credit card. She advised she is unsure of the exact date suspect tried to obtain the credit card, but was advised by Navy Federal Credit Union it was an online application. Navy Federal Credit Union sent her a letter advising her that she would need to verify some information before they could approve the credit card. At that time she contacted them and advised them she did not apply for the card. Copy of the letter she received attached to report in file attachments.
• On May 27 at around 11:36 a.m., a Rolling Creek Road victim stated to KCSO that he was gone from his residence between May 18 and May 24. When victim returned home his front door was standing open. There were no signs of forced entry to the door. On May 27 the victim noticed a Smith & Wesson revolver, cash and coins were missing from the master bedroom. Also, when victim checked the location of the hide-a-key to the front door, it had been moved from where it was supposed to be. There are no suspect(s) at this time. Estimated loss is $1,300.
• On May 13, 2016, at around 2:16 p.m., KCSO responded to Kohl’s department store at 11530 Kingston Pike, Farragut, to a reported theft. Upon arrival KCSO made contact with complainant. Complainant had stopped suspect, a 40-year-old Hispanic female, who had concealed kids clothing and shoes valued at $125.20 into her diaper bag. Suspect exited the store failing to pay for the items she had concealed into her purse and was stopped by the complainant. Suspect was transported to Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
• On May 21 at around 9:45 a.m., a Battle Front Trail complainant stated to KCSO that between midnight and 2 a.m. an unknown subject(s) threw eggs, red dye and toilet paper all over his residence and vehicle. Complainant also advised that his tailpipe was stuffed with eggs as well. Complainant has no suspects. Estimated loss is $4,000.
• On May 21, 2016, about 3:40 p.m., KCSO was dispatched to Belk department store, 11417 Parkside Drive, Farragut, for a shoplifting call. KCSO was advised by Belk Loss Prevention that a female had concealed items in the dressing room and they were awaiting her to exit the store. Further, when she did exit the store, Loss Prevention stopped her and escorted her to its office, where KCSO placed the suspect, a 25-year-old white female, into custody. She was then escorted to the dressing room where a female employee watched her remove four (4) items, which she had concealed on her person totaling $205.97. This incident did occur in Farragut.
• On May 24 at around 9:51 a.m., a Chapel Pointe Lane complainant advised KCSO that after going to get his license plate renewed, he was informed he had the incorrect plate on his vehicle. He stated the plate that had been on the vehicle was not his and that an unknown suspect must have stolen his and replaced it. Complainant advised he would turn in the plate at the clerk’s office. Estimated loss is $60.
• On May 24 at around 6:29 p.m., an Oswald Street complainant advised KCSO that between 2:30 and 6:29 p.m., May 24, she left her cell phone at Campbell Station Park and returned home. The complainant realized around 2:30 p.m. she had accidentally left her phone and returned back to the park to attempt to locate it, but was unsuccessful. The complainant was advised to call back with the serial number for the cell phone if she could locate it. Estimated loss is $100.
• On May 24 at around 7:19 p.m., a South Williamsburg Drive complainant advised KCSO that between May 6 and May 24 her identity was used to cash checks by the suspect. It was discovered the listed suspect, a 46-year-old white female, pretended to be the victim’s mother and entered TVA Credit Union and cashed four counterfeit checks that were written out to the victim. Complainant advised her savings account is now in the negative due to the withdrawal that was made. Complainant advised there is video surveillance. Estimated loss is $710.
• On May 25 at around 8:13 p.m., a representative of Walgreens drug store, 11927 Kingston Pike, Farragut, advised KCSO that between 7:50 and 8:13 p.m. the suspect, a 30-to-40-year-old white male, entered Walgreens and attempted to purchase a 12-pack of Coca Cola, a Rockstar Punched drink and four cartons of Marlboro cigarettes and three cartons of Newport cigarettes but his card would not work. The complainant advised after the suspect tried paying numerous times he took the listed items and left without paying. Walgreens does have video surveillance of this incident. Estimated loss is $393.57.
• On Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at around 10:14 p.m., KCSO responded to Clarity Point Assisted Living Home at 901 Concord Road on a burglary call. Upon investigation, the complainant stated that his mother/victim had been in the hospital since Monday, May 23, at around 12 noon. He added, upon their arrival home from the hospital on reporting date, they noticed a locking security safe had been pried open. The victim stated the safe is kept under her bed and the only property taken was several of her prescription narcotics. KCSO did observe damage to the safe consistent with being pried open. This occurred in Farragut. Estimated loss is $50.
• On May 27 at around 12:32 a.m., a Dogwood Garden Lane complainant stated to KCSO she was inside Cotton Eyed Joe in Farragut at a music concert and her vehicle, a 2014 Toyota Scion, that was parked outside was vandalized. The vehicle back window was broken out by someone throwing an empty glass alcohol bottle that was still located inside the vehicle when the complainant noticed. At this time, there are no known suspects. There was no estimate of damage.
• On Dec. 26, 2015, at around 10 p.m., a Springside Lane victim purchased two concert tickets for $1,450 through eBay. When victim and her guest went to enter the concert on April 13, 2016, the tickets were discovered to be fraudulent by Ticketmaster. Victim contacted suspect about the tickets being invalid and was issued a refund through PayPal. On May 12, 2016, complainant received an e-mail stating that the male suspect had filed a reversal on the refund transaction. Victim is in process of filing a claim for the original transaction and the refund reversal by the suspect.
• On May 28, 2016, at around 7:51 a.m., KCSO was dispatched to a Hammerstone Lane address in response to a fight call. KCSO spoke with victim, a 23-year-old white male, and he said he had contacted a female suspect, a 23-year-old white female, from an ad on Back Page an Internet website. Victim said suspect showed up and asked if he had any money and he gave her $65 for services of being a companion. Victim said she then walked outside and tried to leave. Victim said he took his money back from suspect and then an unknown white male suspect came out of the suspects’ vehicle and started fighting with victim. Once victim was able to get away he said that the unknown male suspect and suspect came at him with softball-size river stone. Victim said he threatened to go get a gun in his home. Victim went into his home and when he came out an unknown female witness, unknown suspect and female suspect had left the residence. Victim then contacted Knox County Dispatch and while on the phone he noticed that his rear passenger side window and rear window to his vehicle, a 2004 Mercedes ML350 had been broke with two river rocks. KCSO later spoke with female suspect and she was very uncooperative but she told me the same story with the exception of when she arrived, she stated the alleged male victim tried to force himself on her and she tried to leave. Suspect also complained of some injuries. KCSO spoke with a Major Crimes detective and he responded. Knox County Forensics also responded and processed the scene. Rural Metro was contacted but female suspect refused any treatment. This incident occurred in Knox County. Estimated loss is $300.
• On Saturday, May 28, 2016, at around 1:36 p.m., KCSO responded to Kohl’s department store, 11530 Kingston Pike, Farragut, in response to a theft. The complainant stated she had observed the arrestee, a 52-year-old white female, in the store taking various pieces of jewelry and cutting the zip tie tags and security devices off. She then observed the arrestee concealing the items in her purse. When KCSO officers arrested the arrestee, they discovered 12 different pieces of jewelry in her purse valued at $414.97 The arrestee also was in possession of two box cutters and a pair of scissors. The arrestee was taken into custody and transported to the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility. The burglary tools will be turned into evidence.
• On May 28 at around 4:28 p.m., a Windham Hill Road complainant advised KCSO she did not receive her debit card back after paying for her food at McDonald’s restaurant located at 11205 Kingston Pike. After realizing she did not receive her card she contacted a manager to see if she had left the debit card, the manager, the suspect, advised the card was there and she could pick it up at any time. The complainant advised she got to McDonald’s and the manager had already left with her debit card. Other employees have attempted to contact the suspect but she is not answering her phone. The complainant was advised to contact Teleserve if more information arises.
• On Sunday, May 29, 2016, at around 8:07 a.m., KCSO responded to At Home, 11221 Outlet Drive, Farragut, in response to a shattered front glass door. The At Home store manager, complainant said she noticed the glass in the front door to the business was shattered when she arrived for work. She stated the door was not damaged the night before when the last employee would have left at around 10:30 p.m. She did not observe anything missing from inside the store. The complainant said the cost to fix the door was valued at $500. Forensics Technician responded to collect evidence and a store loss prevention employee will review surveillance video and notify Forensics if they discover anything involving the incident.
• On Thursday, May 26, at around 4:40 p.m., KCSO responded to Farragut Hills Boulevard on the report of a burglary. The victim / complainant stated that she has had a couple working for her for about a week doing lawn work, as well as a plumber. She stated that she went to the bank on Wednesday, May 25, and took out $300 cash. She then stated that she took out a $20 bill and placed the rest of the cash inside of her car in the glove box. The next day she went to get a pair of her earrings from the jewelry box and noticed that a pair of half-inch gold loop earrings and a pair of one-inch gold earrings had been taken. She then went to check her vehicle to see if the cash was still there. Upon checking the glove box she discovered the cash had been taken as well. This incident did occur in Farragut. Estimated loss is $560.
• On May 31 at around 1:53 p.m., a Weigel’s Farm Store complainant advised at the listed time the white male suspect entered the store located at 610 N. Campbell Station Road and took an alcoholic beverage without paying. The complainant stated the suspect left in a green Toyota Camry. The complainant advised the suspect is the passenger in the vehicle and couldn’t get a description of the driver. The complainant advised she does have video surveillance. Estimated loss is $2.69.
• On May 27 at around 9:47 p.m., KCSO observed a red GMC Canyon truck traveling west on Parkside Drive with only one taillight in proper working condition. KCSO conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and found the suspect, a 33-year-old white male, to be the driver. Suspect provided KCSO with a Virgina idenification when asked for his drivers license, which a records check revealed to be revoked. KCSO conducted a records check on suspect passenger, a 35-year-old white female, which revealed that she was wanted in Bristol, Tenn., and Bristol, Va. During the investigation officers located a
cigarette pack which contained a baggie of methamphetamine in the passenger floor where suspect Mellons was sitting, a baggie of marijuana, a pill and an unknown amount of cash in her purse. Officers located a black and white bag in the floor where suspect Armstrong was sitting, which contained scales, spoon with a dissolved pill, syringe and an unknown amount of currency. While speaking with KCSO detective both suspects admitted to selling drugs and the female suspect admitted to buying drugs from the male suspect in the past. Both suspects were arrested and the vehicle was towed to Sutherland Avenue Wrecker.
• On June 1 at around 3:23 p.m., a Kohl’s department store, 11530 Kingston Pike, Farragut complainant advised on May 27 the suspect, a 32-year-old white male, was seen entering Kohl’s and loading merchandise into a shopping cart then wheel the cart out to his truck and put the buggy and items in the bed then took off. She stated he took them without paying for the items and without the owner’s permission. She advised they found his identity from calling other branches and found he had been caught stealing from Kohl’s before. Estimated loss $134.23.
• On June 2, 2016, at 4:53 p.m., a KCSO detective responded to a burglary/force/residence call at a Kingston Pike, Farragut location. The victim stated when she returned home she found the back door had been forced open and the listed laptop taken. This happened in Farragut. Estimated loss is $1,000.
• On June 3 at around 12:10 p.m., a Hickwick Circle complainant advised KCSO that between noon, June 2, and 12:10 p.m., June 3, an unknown suspect entered her back yard of her residence and damaged her patio umbrella. Complainant advised the pole was bent beyond repair when the unknown suspect tried to remove it from its stand. Complainant was advised to call back if anything else was found to be damaged. Estimated loss is $300.
• On May 31 at 5:32 p.m., a Greenwich Drive victim stated to KCSO that he was contacted by his credit union, Covenant Health, regarding some possible fraudulent charges on his Visa debit card. According to the victim on May 31 there were three charges made at the Best Buy located off Parkside Drive in Farragut. He said these were three separate charges. The charges occurred at 5:05, 5:07 and 5:32 p.m. There were two charges of $200 and one at $250. He advised the charges did go through and a total of $650 was debited from his credit union account. He said he actually used his Visa debit card twice on May 31. The victim stated he used it at around 9:30 a.m. at Mountain Oak Vapor and once around 11 a.m. at Taco Bell. He said both businesses are located off Lovell Road. The victim advised he didn’t know if someone working at one of these businesses may have copied or written down his debit card number. According to the victim he has the card in his possession. The victim is contacting Best Buy to see if they can provide any information regarding the purchases. He also is trying to find out if they show a card swiped or if the number was manually entered. The victim will call back if he gets any further information. The victim called back and said he was told by Best Buy that a card had been swiped. According to the victim he was advised the suspect(s) had bought gift cards in $50 denominations. He said Best Buy was going to try to invalidate the gift cards where they could not be used.
• On June 3 at around 1:31 p.m., a Avalawn complainant advised KCSO he had the company utility trailer with lawn-care equipment inside on the road in front of the house he was working at off Candlenut Lane. He stated he had been in the backyard and when he came back to the front saw the unknown white male suspect pull down the gate on the trailer and steal two Redmax leaf blowers from inside. He stated the suspect put them into a beat up looking Hyundai Elantra that had a black strap across the trunk and a white towel covering the license plate. Complainant was advised to call back if serial numbers were located. Estimate loss is $780.
• On June 3 at around 4:13 p.m., a Countless Lane complainant advised KCSO that on May 29, an unknown suspect took an Apple iPhone. The complainant stated he was working at Cotton Eyed Joe, 11220 Outlet Drive, Farragut and placed his phone down at the end of the night and left without it. The complainant advised he used the “Find My iPhone” and it was at 3624 Maynardville Pike, Knoxville, at 5 p.m., May 30. Estimated loss is $920.
