• The YMCA East Tennessee Dolphins, our region’s only year round synchronized swim team, are conducting programs designed to introduce children to the sport of synchronized swimming. Activities are scheduled for several Knoxville locations, including the YMCA’s Cansler and West Side facilities. The Summer In Synch program is an official program of United States Synchronized Swimming and is designed for girls and boys who already know how to swim but are looking for new ways to show off their creativity in the water. Synchronized swimmers combine their swimming talents with gymnastic and dance movements to perform choreographed routines set to music. Summer In Synch activities also include introductory skill development, partner activities and relay races. For more information or to inquire about setting up a Summer In Synch program or demonstration at your pool contact Rachael Keihl at 637-YMCA (9622).
