Lamp top-10 in nation
BHS sophomore shines among top U.S. divers

Victoria “Tori” Lamp recently cracked the top 10 among the nation’s top high school diving talent.

This rising sophomore at Bearden High School competed against the top 26 girls in the nation and placed 6th in preliminary dives, then went on to place eighth in the finals during the platform competition at the Speedo Junior National Diving Championships in Indianapolis, Ind.

Lamp, who competes for the Tennessee Diving competitive team coached by Dave Parrington, finished fourth in the state in 1-meter diving as a high school freshmen at BHS in February.

She is also a level 10 gymnast at Tataru’s Gymnastics and Tumbling in West Knoxville

Lamp is the daughter of Danny Lamp, a former All-SEC pole-vaulter at UT in the early 1980s. Her older sister, Jennifer, is a former standout diver at BHS.
