• Kimberly Kauffman has been promoted to chief value-based care officer at Summit Strategic Solutions. She previously served as vice president of value-based care.

• The renewal period for town of Farragut business privilege license will continue through Wednesday, Aug. 31. Businesses that currently have a business license can renew at no cost at townoffarragut.org/formcenter. A printable renewal form also is available for those wishing to mail or bring in the form to Farragut Town Hall, 11408 Municipal Center Drive, Farragut. The business privilege license is a requirement for every person who conducts a business operating from a physical site in the Town’s limits.

• Dr. Karthi Namasivayam has joined the team of Helen Ross McNabb Center providers. Namasivayam, also known as Dr. Karthi, provides care through the center’s adult outpatient mental health centers. As the adult medical director, he oversees medical practice and policy for all adult psychiatric services at the center.

• Matthew Bessom, M.D., has joined Summit Medical Group at

Dean Hill, 7211 Welling-ton Drive, Knoxville, as an internal medicine phys-ician and he is accepting new patients. Prior to joining Sum-mit Medical Group, Bessom was an internal medicine hospitalist with Greenville Health System.

The University of Tennessee campus newspaper, has joined Moxley Carmichael as a graphic and digital media designer. Rob-erts graduated summa cum laude from UT with a bachelor’s degree in English in May.
