• The Farragut High School band will perform in three upcoming competitions. The first competition will be Saturday, Sept. 30, at Cumberland County High School in Crossville. Another one will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, place TBA. The last competition will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at Daniel Boone High School in Gray.
• The entire middle school at The Episcopal School of Knoxville spent Tuesday, Sept. 18, to Wednesday, Sept. 20, at an early fall retreat at Camp Chandler near Montgomery, Ala. The YMCA camp gave the 74 students a workout in such activities as completing a high ropes course, access to a “vertical playpen,” and canoeing. The goal was for students to learn to work together while working toward a common goal.
