Lugten, Cosimano wed in June 10 rite
Emily Roxanne Lugten of Knoxville and Samuel Joseph Cosimano Jr., were married Sunday, June 10, at Whitestone Inn. The Rev. Paul Cowell officiated.

The bride, daughter of Leo and Sheila Lugten of Knoxville, is granddaughter of Leo and Bia Lugten of Hendersonville and Willard and Freida Bryant of Nashville.

A Farragut High School graduate, she is also a 2003 East Tennessee State University graduate with psychology and criminal justice degrees and has a master’s degree in criminology.

The groom, son of Samuel and Elizabeth Cosimano of Ladson, S.C., is grandson of John and Elizabeth Talbert of McCormick, S.C., and of Samuel and Mildred Cosimano of Fulton, N.Y. A 1998 Stratford High graduate, he graduated from Charleston Southern University and East Tennessee State University with a criminal justice degree. A psychology minor, he has done graduate work in criminal justice-criminology and is an Army lieutenant, stationed at Ft. Carson, Colo.

Maid of honor was Angela Lugten of Knoxville. Bridesmaids were Beth Nash of Winter Garden, Fla., Cindy Ramsey of Johnson City, Sharon Deaver of Chattanooga, Megan Pitts of Knoxville, Susan Cate of Johnson City and Katherine Cosimano of Rockhill, S.C. Jennifer Infinger of Ladson, S.C. was junior bridesmaid.

Best man was Brian Davis of Charleston. Groomsmen were Ryan Presnell of Elizabethton, Greg Stevenson of Charleston, Stanley Williams of Rockhill, Sherwin Geramim of Ashburn, Va., and Jeremy Strickland of Colorado Springs, Colo.

After a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple now resides in Colorado Springs.


Petersen, Flynn plan Oct. 28 rite
Robert and Marsha Petersen of Loudon announce the engagement and impending marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Brooks Petersen, to Steven Lee Flynn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Flynn of Schaumburg, Ill.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Mahlon Huffman of Winston-Salem, N.C., and of Anne Petersen of Valley City, N.D., and the late Dalton Petersen.

A 2001 Farragut High School graduate, she graduated in 2003 from the Tennessee Technology Center.

She is employed now as a dental assistant in Nashville.

The intended groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Wittmer and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Flynn.

A graduate of Schaumburg High School, he now manages Carmax Operations in Nashville.

The couple plans to wed Saturday, Oct. 28, at Faith Lutheran Church in Farragut.

After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Nashville.
