Lady Ads wraps up 4-AAA regular season soccer crown with victory at South-Doyle

The Farragut Lady Admirals soccer team wrapped up the District 4-AAA regular season crown while winning a pair this week against West and South Doyle on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 3-4, respectively.

Farragut, 14-4 overall entering the week and finishing 7-0 (including forfeits) in the district, defeated the West Lady Rebels 3-0 with two goals coming from Casey Ulrich.

The first Ulrich goal was unassisted and the second was assisted by Mindy Hopkins. J.J. Johnson added the third goal. The Lady Ads led West 13-4 in shots-on-goal.

“It was a pretty good game, we just came off a tournament and I thought we played real well,” Farragut head coach Dennis Lindsay said.

The South-Doyle game ended with the same result, 3-0, in FHS’s final reuglar season district game.

Whitney Newby scored the first goal unassisted to get the Lady Ads on the board. Alyssa Dresen scored with an assist from Sarah Fisher and Kathleen Jarvis netted the last score with an assist from Emily Harris. Farragut again led the shots-on-goal, 14-1.

“I mixed it up a lot,” Lindsay said. “We didn’t look too good, but we played well enough to win.”

The Lady Admirals were back in action at FHS’s Bill Clabo Field on Senior Night, closing out the regular season against Soddy Daisy Tuesday, Sept. 10 (after press deadline).
