• Erin Brosy of Farragut will spend a semester abroad in Vienna, Austria, in Fall 2008 through Lipscomb University’s “Lipscomb in Vienna” program. Brosy, who is majoring in German, is among 16 students participating in the program this fall. Lipscomb Bible professor, Dr. John Mark Hicks, will teach classes. During the semester abroad, students will also study German with a language professor in Vienna, visit the Aushwitz concentration camps in Poland, travel to Prague, Czechoslovakia and spend time in Italy. • The Episcopal School of Knoxville will host a 5-K Run and Fall Festival Saturday, Nov. 11. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the school and the run begins at 10 a.m. After the event, rock musician Dave Landeo will perform. Hayrides and a live auction will also take place. Participants can enjoy a bonfire, booths by regional craftsmen, a climbing wall and midway games. To pre-register for the 5-K Run, visit www.Active.com or pick up a registration form. Runners can also register a half hour before the game. The entry fee is $25, and there is no charge to attend the festival. For more information, call 865-777-9032.
