- Thu, Nov, 30, 2006
With help from a former Bearden Bulldog standout post, the Maryville College Scots opened its men’s basketball season at home Tuesday, Nov. 21, with a 71-63 come-from-behind victory against the Centre College Colonels of Danville, Ky.
Jeremy Holliday, a 6-7 junior post, led the Scots in rebounds with eight, helping hand Centre its first loss of the season (2-1).
During his first two seasons at MC, Holliday averaged 5.3 points and five rebounds per game.
Having appeared in eight consecutive NCAA Division III Tournaments, the Scots finished 21-8 last season and were co-champions of the Great South Atlantic Conference.
