Lady Admirals edge Bearettes

Storming out to a 17-8 lead after one quarter, the Farragut Lady Admirals varsity basketball team held off Sevier County for a 53-51 victory Tuesday, Dec. 5, at SCHS.
The District 4-AAA win leaves FHS with a 4-4 overall record, 1-2 in district play, entering the week.
Sophomore Stephanie Torrence and senior Kara Beth Beverly combined for five three-point basket in the backcourt. While Torrence led the Lady Ads with 12 points, Beverly led in baskets behind the arc with three (nine points total).
Senior post Kiah Simmons added 11 points while junior post C.J. Dake had 10. Jennifer Rutherford scored five, Allison Bosse four and Andrea Britton two points.
