Kirby-Jones chooses Tech


A.J. Kirby-Jones, Webb School of Knoxville standout infielder and Tennessee Sportswriters Association all-state baseball player, signed National Letter of Intent papers with Tennessee Tech, Monday, Nov. 13, in Webb School’s Lee Athletic Center. With a .464 batting average, including nine home runs and 51 RBIs last season, Kirby-Jones earned numerous area and state honors, including East Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Team; Division II East All-Region Team; Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association All-Area Team; TBCA AAA/Division II All-State Team; TBCA Junior Sunbelt Team Tennessee; TBCA/WORTH Underclassmen Team; PrepXtra First Team, and 2006 Louisville Slugger Honorable Mention All-American.
