• HOWARD Sr., Billy L.,
age 64, of Knoxville passed away Tuesday evening, Jan. 2, 2006, at Parkwest Medical Center. Billy was a member of Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service. He was a former employee of CAMCO in Alaska and Schwan’s Ice Cream in Knoxville. Billy was an avid sports fan and loved NASCAR and drag racing. He was a man who was truly loved by his family and friends. Billy was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harrison Smith and beloved dog, Gracie. Survivors: wife of 19 years, Marian Howard; children, Edward Harrison Howard of San Diego, Calif., Barbara Lynn Howard of Knoxville, Billy Lynn Howard Jr. of Knoxville; mother, Mae Smith of Knoxville; stepchildren, Troy Navarro of Phoenix, Ariz., Mark Navarro of Knoxville; grandchildren, Sayge Marie Smith and Jesse Mikaila Smith; sister, Bessie Sue Coffey of Powell; brother, Mike Howard of Seymour; stepbrother, Mike Smith of Rutledge; several nieces and nephews. The family received friends Saturday followed by funeral services in the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with the Rev. Bill Middleton and the Rev. Mark Allison officiating. Honorary pallbearers, V. W. Linginfelter, Joe Justice, Alred McFee, Jack Watson, Bill Shipley and Jim Scruggs. Interment followed in the Virtue Cemetery with full military honors conferred by the U.S. Air Force. • MIMMS, Edwin Morris (Bill),
age 73, of Knoxville, formerly of Nashville, passed away early Saturday morning, Jan. 6, 2007, at his home. Bill retired from Bellsouth after 39 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Leslie and Sadie Owens Mimms. Bill is survived by wife Bonnie, sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin and Patsy Mimms of Gallatin, Jeff and Rachel Mimms of Nashville; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Paul Sherrick of Old Hickory; grandchildren, Joel Christopher Mimms, Robert Patrick Mimms, Brittany Elizabeth Mimms and Leslie Samantha Sherrick; brothers and sisters-in-law, Malcolm L. and Paula Mimms of Nashville, and Ronnie D. and Paige Mimms of Ashland City; several nieces and nephews. Bill was an avid golfer his entire life. He was a founding member of the Capital City Golf Association in Nashville, and was a member of the Pine Lake’s Senior Golf Association and Three Ridges Golf Club. • COOPER, Mary Louise (Fogarty),
age 85, of Knoxville passed away Friday morning, Jan. 5, 2007, at her home. Mary was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and was a parishioner of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis F. Cooper; son, Wayne Steven Cooper; parents, John J. Fogarty and Grace Wells Fogarty; brother, John J. Fogarty Jr. Survivors: sons, Joe Cooper and wife, Libby, of Maryville, Barry Cooper of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Mandi Cooper-Enix of Charlotte, Emily Cooper of Long Beach, Calif., Chris Cooper of Knoxville, Kerry Cooper Barnhill of Knoxville; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Fogarty Beaty and husband, Joe, and Joann Fogarty Hohenberg; brother, Bill Fogarty and wife, Shirley, and Fred Fogarty, all of Farragut; several nieces and nephews. • LIVINGSTON, Anne,
age 78, of Lenoir City passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Parkwest Medical Center. Anne was a member of the First Church of God, where she served as treasurer for many years and was awarded Mother of Year for 2006. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Livingston; parents, Ernest and Febry Johnston; and grandson, Jerry Holland Jr. She is survived by children and spouses, Brenda Holland of Plainville, Ga., Pennie and Bob Cockrel of Knoxville, Ernest and Nancy Livingston of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; grandchildren, Amanda Posey and husband, Thomas, of Plainville; Marty Vinson and wife, Karol, of Knoxville, David and Vinson and wife, Yosmar, of Parkside, Pa., Trenna Wilger and husband, Don, of Dallas, Ga., Ginger Livingston of Ft. Lauderdale, Brandy Knehne and husband, Peter, of Ft. Lauderdale; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Billie Jeffries of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. • NORRIS, Robert Edward,
age 62, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was a Christian and an employee of Goodwill Industries. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Stella Lamb Norris; brothers, Richard, Ralph, Ray and Roy Norris. He is survived by a sister, Joyce Norris Swaggerty of Farragut; sister-in-law, Ann Norris of Knoxville and several nieces and nephews. age 35, of Knoxville passed away suddenly Monday evening, Jan. 1, 2007, in an automobile accident. Kim was a member of Choto Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronnie and Polly Ward Standifer; grandparents, Paul and Dorothy Ward; uncle, Willie Ward; several other aunts and uncles.
