Austin-Peay Volleyball a slam for FHS standout Benorden

Kelsey Benorden, Farragut High School volleyball standout who holds 12 schools records, signed National Letter of Intent papers to attend Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, during a ceremony in the FHS Commons, Dec. 8. The 2006 Coaches’ KIL Player of the Year as an outside hitter who earned Region 2-AAA Tournament MVP and District 4-AAA MVP, Benorden was praised by FHS head coach David Moore.

“With all of her skills; with passing, hitting and serving, she’s probably known out here for being an outstanding hitter, she’ll be able to play at Division One level without any problem,” Moore said about the 5-foot-10 Benorden, “She’s a very mature young lady and I’ve seen her grow and she’s been a great asset to our program here.”
