Ippolito, Jackson set June date
Frank and Anne Ippolito of Knoxville, parents of Kate Elizabeth Ippolito, announce their daughter’s engagement and impending marriage to Donald Christopher Jackson, son of Don and Elaine Jackson of Knoxville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Peggy Ippolito of Tarrytown, N.Y.

A 1997 graduate of Lake Oswego High School in Oregon, she is a 2002 graduate of Pellissippi State Technical Community College and a 2004 graduate of Wales Culinary School.

With a degree in hotel and restaurant management and culinary arts, she is restaurant manager at Lakeside Tavern restaurant.

The intended groom, grandson of Barbra Patterson of Chattanooga, is a 1996 Farragut High School graduate.

In 2001, he received an associate’s degree in Health Science from Southwest Community College.

He is now a supervisor at Edfinancial Services.

The couple plans to wed at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at the Tellico Yacht Club.

After a honeymoon trip, the couple will reside in Knoxville.

Barton, Cottrell engaged; plan to wed Dec. 16
Laura Elizabeeth Barton, daughter of Bill and Donna Barton of Knoxville, and Lee Fleming Cottrell, son of Steve and Martha Cottrell of Knoxville, were married in a mid-morning ceremony Saturday, Dec. 16.

The Rev. Damon Kelly officiated at the Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church service.

The bride is the granddaughter of Louise Wilson of Kingsport and the late Carl Wilson, and of Bill and Pauline Barton of Knoxville. A 2003 graduate of Berean Christian School, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech pathology from The University of Tennessee in December 2006.

The groom is the grandson of Edward L. Johnson and the late Frances S. Johnson and of the late William B. and Jeannette M. Cottrell, all of Knoxville.

A 2003 Farragut High School graduate, he will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in audiology from The University of Tennessee in May 2007.

Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Amy Barton of Knoxville. Bridesmaids were Adrienne Rogers, Jill Balmer, Kate McClanahan, Katherine Green and Cortney Horne, all of Knoxville. Best man was Parke Cottrell, the groom’s brother. Groomsmen were Steve Cottrell of Knoxville, the groom’s father; Eamonn Cottrell of Jacksson, Miss., the groom’s brother; David Barton of Knoxville, the bride’s brother, and Jonathan Holt and Jim McKinney, both of Knoxville.

After a Carribbean cruise honeymoon, the couple resides now in Knoxville.
