Gennoe, Klitzner wed
Janet April Gennoe, daughter of David and Gerry Gennoe of Knoxville, and Kurt Gibson Klitzner, son of Harry and Ann Klitzner of Costa Mesa, Calif., were married Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville.

The Rev. Kyle Harris, associate minister, officiated.

The bride is granddaughter of the late Joe and Mary Sue Gennoe of Decatur and the late Hobson Mansfield and Hazel Mansfield Perkins of Chattanooga.

A 1989 Farragut High School graduate, she received a bachelor’s degree in communications from The University of Tennessee in 1993. She is marketing director for Palomar Pomerado Health in San Diego, Calif.

The groom is the grandson of the late Charles and Margaret Klitzner of Chicago, Ill., and the late Emmet and Emma Gibson of Holton, Mich.

A 1979 Estancia High School graduate, he received a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1984 from the University of California at Los Angeles and a master’s degree in accounting in 1996 from San Diego State University. He is director of Finance and Accounting for Verimatrix in San Diego.

Maids of honor were Susan Gennoe of Nashville and Trina Hinch of San Diego. Bridesmaids were Susan Guy of Lebanon, N.J., Kristie Johnston of Knoxville, Libby Livingston of Lilburn, Ga., LeAnn Nutt of Murfreesboro and Kathy Klitzner and Kristie Klitzner, both of Santa Ana, Calif.

Best man was Harry Klitzner of Costa Mesa.

Groomsmen were Erik Klitzner and Kyle Klitzner, both of Santa Ana; Todd Klitzner of Costa Mesa, Dave Larson of Leucadia, Calif., Barret Pulver of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Kevin Thene of San Diego and Norman Inoue of Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii.

Rhonda Sims of Nashville was reader for the evening service and Ellyn Brewer of Knoxville was guest book attendant.

After a honeymoon trip to Tahiti, French Polynesia, the couple now resides in San Diego.

Starr, Wilson set the date
Dennis and Betsy Starr of Farragut announce the engagement and impending marriage of their daughter, Laura Elizabeth Starr, to Brandon Wayne Wilson, son of Jerry and Donna Wilson of Kennesaw, Ga.

The bride-elect is granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lenox of Troy, Ohio, and Ralph Starr of Fort Pierce, Fla., and the late Maribel Starr.

A 2000 Farragut High School graduate, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in human resources management and marketing from The University of Tennessee in 2004. She is employed by Ernst & Young LLP in human resources.

The intended groom is the grandson of Verlie Williams and the late Norman Williams and of Ethel Wilson and the late Albert Wilson, all of Johnson City.

A 1996 Harrison High School graduate, the prospective groom received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in management information systems from Kennesaw State University in 2000. He is employed in information technology at Infratech.

The couple plans a 6 p.m. wedding Saturday, May 26, at Farragut Presbyterian Church.

After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Smyrna, Ga.

Rigsby, Hughes plan April rite
Terry and Charlotte Rigsby of Farragut announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Merrill Elizabeth Rigsby, to Jesse Frank Hughes, son of Dona Hughes of Crossville and Johnny Hughes of Sparta.

Grandparents of the bride-elect are the late Jack and Gene Bush, formerly of Knoxville, and the late Howard and Doris Rigsby, formerly of Soddy-Daisy.

The prospective groom’s grandparents are Tate Welch of Crossville and the late Yvonne Welch, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hughes of Crossville and the late Willene Hughes.

Graduating Farragut High School in 2000, the bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of The University of Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a preschool teacher at Harmony Preschool in Boulder, Colo.

A1997 graduate of Cumberland County High School, the prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of The University of Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in forestry resource management, wildlife and fishery science. He is employed as a forester with USDA Forest Service, Boulder Ranger District, in Colorado.

The wedding ceremony is set to begin at 5:30 p.m., April 7, at Maple Grove Inn, Knoxville.

The couple will reside in Boulder.
