• The 14th Annual Herman Gettelfinger Bass Tournament is scheduled Saturday, April 14, on Fort Loudoun Lake. The event will begin at Tellico Canal Ramp and the ease off is at safe light. All proceeds benefit Helen Ross McNabb Center. First-place payout is $10,000 (guaranteed). Tournament registration fee is $200 per boat (two-man team) and will include lunch for all participants. Tim Irwin will be weigh-in master of ceremonies. Pre-event registration is from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 13, at the Tellico Canal Ramp Pavilion. • Bearden and Farragut boys soccer alumni will rekindle the Bulldogs-Admirals rivalry while honoring the memory of a special member of the FHS boys soccer staff. The Brook Culbreth Memorial 1st Alumni Soccer Game begins at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 14, at Bill Clabo Field. Pre-game warm-up begins at 3 p.m., with a dinner to follow after the game. Cost for all Farragut and Bearden alumni is $15, which includes a player T-shirt and dinner ticket. Parents and all fans are invited to catch up with old friends by purchasing a game ticket for $5 and a dinner ticket for $7 — or a combination ticket for $10. As part of the establishment of the Brooke Culbreth Scholarship Fund, personal and corporate donations are encouraged. Checks can be written to The Brooke Culbreth Memorial Fund and sent to: Dee Dee Underwood/713 Lake Vista Lane/Knoxville, TN 37934. All proceeds go directly to establish a soccer scholarship fund in Brooke’s memory. • The annual Farragut Baseball Sportsbelle Classic runs April 5-7, at four Knox County sites: Lindsey Nelson Stadium on the UT campus; John Heatherly Field at FHS; Phil Garner Field at Bearden High School and Karns High School. Opening pitch is 4 p.m., Thursday, April 5, at Lindsey Nelson, with William Blount against Anderson County, followed by Maryville versus Karns at 6:15, then Farragut against Germantown at 8:30. Thursday games at FHS include: Farragut versus Morristown East at 5 p.m. then Bearden against Bryan Station at 7 p.m. For other game-time information and updates, visit admiralbaseball.com. • Carson-Newman softball freshman third baseman Jessie Howard, a former Farragut High School standout infielder (Class of 2006) led the Eagles with a .431 batting average, which included 53 hits, 37 runs and 22 stolen bases through 34 games (26-8 record).

• Fort Sanders Health and Fitness Center welcomes children and teenagers to experience the fitness and fun of its 10-week summer sports camps to learn all about basketball, karate, speed, agility and quickness and tennis – plus explore a variety of sports and fitness opportunities that will keep kids on their toes and building healthy habits to last a lifetime. Camps run 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, June 25-Aug. 3. Instruction is taught at all skill levels while promoting self-confidence, balance, coordination, and teamwork. games that combine all skills. Offered Fitness center members weekly cost is $120 per child, $225 for two children and $320 for three. Members’ daily cost is $30, $55 and $75, respectively. For non-members, weekly cost is $150 per child, $285 for two and $405 for three. Daily non-member cost is $35, $65 and $90, respectively. Refund and late pick-up policies: cancellation seven-plus days before camp: full refund; cancellation six days or less before camp, full refund if spot can be filled; half-refund if spot cannot be filled. If camp is underway, no refund — credit only. Changes to camp selections must be made seven-plus days prior to start of camp. No refunds for sick days, but credit may be given to another camp if spots are available. There will be a $5 charge for every minute past pick-up time.
