Deca club needs funds for trip

Farragut High School’s DECA club had twenty-four students get into the top eight at regional competition, qualifying them for the state

competition in Nashville. At state, fifteen of those students, all seniors, made it into the top five, which qualifies them to compete at the DECA International Career Development Conf-erence in Orlando, Fla., later this month. This is the largest group FHS has ever taken and is the same as the other Knox County schools put together. The club needs to raise approximately $11,250 in order to be able to go.

DECA club competes against other schools in selected career categories, including Hotel and Lodging Manag-ement, Restuarant Manag-ement, Apparel and Acc-essories, Business Law and Ethics and Accounting.
