UT senior Cobb honored in stadium ceremony

Beginning as a Tennessee Volunteer walk-on in 2004, former Farragut Admiral All-State pitcher Craig Cobb’s 46 career starts as a Vol, 26 career wins and 376 career innings pitched — all three rank No. 2 in UT history — highlighted Cobb’s recognition on Senior Night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium Friday, May 11, as South Carolina came to town. Cobb, the lone UT senior player in 2007, was joined by parents Cathy and Kim Craig. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound Cobb, with a 7-5 record in 2007 (5.57 ERA), boasts a 2.6 strikeout-to-walk career ratio. In the classroom, Cobb earned SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition his first three years. Currently holding a 3.3 grade point average, the 22-year-old is on track to graduate in December with a degree in accounting (minoring in finance).
