• Farragut High School Lady Admirals Summer Volleyball Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., June 18-22, in Lynn E. Sexton Gymnasium at FHS. It is open to girls who will enter grades 4 through 8 during the 2007-08 school year. Cost is $100. Registration forms can be picked up from Farragut Middle School and Farragut Intermediate School offices and Pak-Mail. Forms can be returned to Pak-Mail or mail registration and check to: FHS Volleyball/11083 Kingston Pike No. 308/Knoxville, TN 37934. • The June 20th deadline is quickly approaching for the seven open event competitions at this year’s Tennessee Senior Olympics state finals. Tennessee seniors can register to compete in archery, racquetball, cycling (5K/20K), the 5K and 10K runs, tennis or a one-mile power walk at the state finals July 20-26 in Williamson County. Events are open to seniors 50 and older; however, participants who are 49 years old are eligible to compete as long as their 50th birthday occurs before the end of 2007. • CBFO Football registration for ages 5 to 14 continues from 6:30 to 9 p.m., June 1-2, at 11609 Northshore Drive. Cost is $135 for each tackle football player (ages 7-14) and $50 for each flag participant (ages 5-6). Tryouts at the same location also will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 9, and from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 10.

• As part of National Fishing Week, Free Fishing Day for adults and children is from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., June 9, at Concord Cove, 11808 S. Northshore Drive. Fishing licenses will not be required. For more info, contact Ola Cole at 865-215-6607.

• Open tryouts for the 2007 fall and 2008 spring seasons with Knox County youth soccer’s Diadora Impact competitive teams will take place June 4, 5 and 7 (under 10-13) and June 14-15 (14-18). • Bearden Baseball Camp is from 9 a.m. to noon, June 25-28, for ages 10-to-incoming freshmen. Site is Phil Garner Field at BHS. Cost is $75 per player. Participants must bring copy of insurance card. For more information or to sign up, contact BHS head coach Matt Buckner at 865-368-3141.

• Farragut High School Baseball Camp runs 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, June 4, to Thursday, June 7, FHS’s at John Heatherly Field. Registration is from 8:15 to 9 a.m. June 4. Cost is $70 per camper —$60 if more than one from a family. Instruction by FHS coaches and players. A glove is required — bringing a bat is optional. • Tryouts for Farragut Middle School baseball begin at 2 p.m., June 6-7, at FHS’s John Heatherly Field. For more information, contact head coach Jim Braden at 865-310-7766.

• Youth ages 13 and under are invited to the 23rd Annual Bob Watt Youth Fishing Rodeo from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at Anchor Park (11730 Turkey Creek Road). Registration is from 4 to 5 p.m. Town of Farragut will provide bait (any type may be used) and free refreshments. A limited number of fishing poles will be available on a first come, first serve basis; participants are encouraged to bring their own poles. The event is free. • 2007 Farragut Lady Admiral Softball Camp is scheduled June 4-7 at Bellamy Field (softball field) at FHS. Pre-registration is from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, June 3, at the field. Camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon for ages 8-10 (cost is $65), and 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for ages 11-15 (cost is $85. Required items are cleats, tennis shoes, glove and softball pants or sweat pants.
