Whittaker, Oberg wed
Anna Kathryn Whittaker and Nolan Gabriel Oberg joined in Holy Matrimony during a March 25, 2007 ceremony at Danforth Chapel on Berea College Campus in Berea, Ky. The Rev. Daniel Oberg officiated.

The bride’s parents are Jerry and Nan Whittaker of Knoxville. The bride is the granddaughter of Dr. John R. Williams of Winston-Salem, N.C, the late Maxine Williams and Carl and Jewell Whittaker of Harriman.

She is a 2002 graduate of Christian Academy of Knoxville and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from The University of Tennessee in 2006.

The groom’s parents are the Rev. Daniel and Peggy Oberg of Lexington, Ky. He is the grandson of Norman Oberg of Phoenix, Ariz., Germaine Fehner of St. Louis, Mo., the late Bill Fehner, Patricia Forte of St. Augustine, Fla. and the late Gene Forte.

He is a 2001 graduate of Bryan Station High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Berea College in 2005.

Flower girl was Corrie Elliot of Berea. Ring bearer was Caleb Lewis of New Orleans, La. The bride’s wedding party members were Stephanie Blair of Knoxville; Jenny Peck of Monroe, Ga. and Matthew Whittaker of McAllen, Texas. The groom’s wedding party members were Calvin Maddox of Oak Ridge, Naomi Elliott of Berea and Nick Oberg of Lexington.

After a honeymoon to Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, the couple resides in New Orleans.

The child has been named Kenzie Taylor Lefler and is the sister to Callie Lefler.

She is greeted by grandparents, Jim and Valerie Maner of Knoxville, and George and Nancy Lefler of Farragut.

Kenzie’s great-grandparents are: Ralph and the late Mildred DeLozier of Knoxville and Marjorie and the late Arthur Taylor of Knoxville.
