• A Summer Golf Camp will be held at Concord Park for ages 9 to 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily June 25-27. Cost is $115 per child. To register, or for more information, call PGA professional Keith McElroy at 865-966-9103.
• TTA East Tennessee Chapter hikes continue with a June 30 hike at Laurel-Snow Pocket Wilderness. The hike is approximately seven miles round-trip (rated moderate). Meet at 9:30 a.m. at Eckerd's in Dayton off Highway 27. For directions and to pre-register, call Carolyn Reeves at 865-717-3528.
• Farragut High School softball tryouts for the 2008 season will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, July 23-25. Girls interested in trying out need to be in proper softball attire when arriving. For more information, contact FHS head coach David Moore at 865-947-5720.
• Bearden Baseball Camp is from 9 a.m. to noon, June 25-28, for ages 10-to-incoming freshmen. Site is Phil Garner Field at BHS. Cost is $75 per player. Participants must bring copy of insurance card. For more information or to sign up, contact BHS head coach Matt Buckner at 865-368-3141.
