Duncan to address Chamber breakfast group
Staff Reports - Thu, Jul, 5, 2007
An advisor to U.S. Rep. John J. Duncan Jr. (R-Tenn.), pictured right, said to expect a healthy amount of question-and-answer time to highlight Duncan’s appearance at the Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce Speaker Series Breakfast Tuesday morning, July 10, at Fox Den Country Club.
As guest speaker for the monthly series, beginning at 7:30 a.m., Duncan will “recap the current issues facing the Congress … things coming up after the July Fourth recess,” said Jonathan Griswold, Energy and Defense Legislative advisor to the Second District Congressman.
“He’ll likely turn it over to questions pretty quickly … mostly taking question,” Griswold added. “I would anticipate questions on the Immigration Bill. … The London-Scotland bomb issue.
“He did come out against the Immigration Bill. … The amnesty package, he was against that.”
