Final club effort muddy, but title-worthy
Force No. 1 in region, state; top-25 in nation


The Knoxville Football Club 89 Force U-18 Girls soccer team, coached by Hans Hobson and assistant Carrie Ollom, wrapped up their club careers with consecutive Division I State Championship titles and the USYSA Region III Premier League Central Division Championship.

Ranked among the top 25 teams nationally, the KFC 89 Force finished No. 1 in Tennessee and No. 1 in Region III Central Division.

The Force won 81 percent of its games and scored more than three times as many goals as they allowed in 227 Division I games against top-ranked teams across the country.

Thirteen Force players will continue with college soccer careers in Fall 2007 at such schools as the University of Kentucky, Memphis, Vanderbilt and North Carolina-Charlotte.
