• West Knoxville clinical dietitian Susan Higdon recently received Parkwest Medical Center’s first 10-Foot Award for consistently being upbeat, positive and helpful to everyone she encounters. The 10-Foot Award is supported by The Wayne Heatherly Excellence in Patient Care Endowment that was established by family, friends, colleagues, medical staff and employees in recognition

of the more than two decades Heatherly led Parkwest Medical Center.

• East Tennessee Technology Access Center will accept your old computer to give or loan to its clients with disabilities. All computers must be in good working order and have at least the following specifications: Pentium computers with a minimum processor speed of 500 MHZ. All donations are tax deductible. Delivery computers to ETTAC’s Knoxville office, 4918 N. Broadway or call 865-219-0130 to arrange pick up.

• Trish Chaloux recently joined Parkwest Medical Center as director of Ortho/-Neuro/Surgical Services. Previously, she worked with the College of Nursing at The University of Tennessee where she held a full-time faculty position. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing administration. She also has worked in a variety of management, leadership and clinical roles for Legacy One,

ECI Management Corporation and Baptist Health System of East Tennessee.
