Knox County bans all burning

Effective immediately, Knox County Air Quality Management has issued a ban on all open burning in the county, regardless if a premit has been issued, Ranee Randby, Knox County Health Department spokesperson, said.
The ban will remain in effect until the area receives enough rainfall to alleviate the hazardous conditions.
