• HAMPSON, Joan Terese,
age 63, of Knoxville, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007. She was born in Boston, Mass., and served as a lieutenant with the U.S. Army during World War II. Mrs. Hampson was a physical therapist at the 97th General Hospital in Frankfurt Germany. Mrs. Hampson was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Margaret King; and husband, Donald Clark Hampson. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Terry Hampson of Portland, Ore., Matt and Monica Hampson of Cummings, Ga., Andy and Shannon Hampson of Knoxville; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Mark Bazeghi of Portland, Jacquee and Jerry Allran of Maine; grandchildren, Ted, Sean, Patrick and Christine Hampson, Joe Bazeghi, all of Portland, Ted and Chris Allran of Maine, Morgan and Milo Hampson of Cummings, Drew and Caroline Hampson of Knoxville. Memorial service was Sunday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with the Rev. Canon Thomas J. Rasnick officiating. Interment will be in Wilmington, N.C. • PITCHER, Ruth Margaret,
age 85, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 18, 2006. Ruth was active in local church and community affairs in Portland, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Pitcher. Survivors: sons, Paul, David and Bruce Pitcher. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, at the East Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery with the Rev. Linda Parton officiating.
